So this past weekend Alec and I finally made it up to Lake Tahoe. It was such a blast. We have been trying to get up there all summer with no luck. Alec decided to take Friday off so we had two days to do stuff. We left fairly early Friday morning, after we both slept in, we could not resist a day off and a chance to sleep in. We got up there and found a campsite and then went on a hike. We hiked up to a place called Eagle Lake. It was beautiful. This was the first and only good California hike I have yet to go on. Most end up leading to roads, this one actually had a real and beautiful destination.
Saturday was a riot. We woke up and fixed our breakfast, along with all the bees in the whole state. Then we went down to Tahoe city and rented a tandum bike. Oh my gosh, if you want to have a blast, rent one of those. We were laughing so hard the whole time. Alec was on the front and claims that he was doing all the work, but I beg to differ, my legs were moving too.:) After that we decided to raft, or I guess we should say float, the Truckee. Again, Alec was the paddler and I just enjoyed the scenery. That night we went on a sunset sail cruise. Oh my gosh, that was so fun and so worth it. It was a little chilly, but that made it more fun and interesting.
We had such a good time and just loved being up in the mountains together.
