I was just wondering if those who voted for Obama will tell me why. I am trying to figure out what the big deal with him was, I really don't like him, but he is our next president and so I am trying to find something I like about him, so PLEASE write me and tell me what your reasoning was.

Emmy, I didn't want him to win, but most the people here in chicago did. I think one of the many reasons is because the economy is so bad right now and they seem to think he has better policies to fix it. Also, people are freaking out because he is African American. A lot of people in chicago are celebrating like crazy and crying they are so happy we now have an african american president. Many people hate Bush and mcCain seems to resemble Bush, so they liked Obama more. Ha, this is what I've learned from my democratic living:) Hope it helps
The way i saw it, 6 in one hand half a dozen in the other. However, picking Sarah Pahlin as his running mate was enough for me to run to the Obama side of the fence. That was a purely hype driven move that really came back to bite McCain in the end.
Obama will be a good president, certainly better than what we've had the last 8 years.
