So on Christmas afternoon Alec, Steve, my Dad, and I went up to Taggart Lake in Teton Park. It snowed on us the whole time!!! It was really fun though. We were really glad that for the majority of the hike someone else had broke trail.

At the beginning of the hike I decided to do a snow angel, I ended up drowning in the snow instead!

Before we got to the lake we ended up having to break trail because the people before us I guess did not know how to get to the lake and so they went the wrong way and then turned around.

Alec and my dad on the lake. The snow ate you up it was so deep!

Alec and I jumped on this rock into the "lake" or the snow. Here is Alec........

Here is me, I ended up not reading the rock right and ended up falling off instead!

Ok, so the story of the moose. So on our way up the hill we did not see any moose tracks which shocked us because every time we go on this hike we ALWAYS see moose tracks and most of the time we see moose. Well, on the way down we saw quite a few fresh moose tracks. Talk about nerve racking! Well we then saw two moose straight ahead of us on the trail. We backed away slowly and just kept watching them to see where they were going. We then realized that there were three on the trail instead of just two and we noticed that one was pretty young, which means the moose are going to be pretty protective. So we hung back and just watched them hoping they were going to get off the trail and head somewhere else. The moose started moving a little down the trail so we were going to start moving down too when Steve looked up to the hillside next us and there was a bull moose staring straight at us. Ok, so I was freaked out! We all just stood there hoping the moose would follow its family down the trail. It ended up going down the hill and we could not tell where it went after that. We did not know if it went down the backside of its hill or if it was in the ravine next to us. We waited for a bit and then were ready to continue down the mountain because we had not seen him and figured he had gone the other way. Just before we were headed all the sudden the bull moose started running out of the ravine maybe 40 feet away shaking his head and kicking his heels up and down. Can you say angry?!:) Ok, so know we were really freaked out. He was running the opposite way of us, thank goodness, down to where the other three had gone up the opposite hill. After his little fit, he stopped on the trail to see what we were going to do. We just backed up a bit and just stood there. He then went down the trail. When we finally felt like it was safe to go down, we booked it the rest of the way and I looked behind me probably every few seconds just to make sure. I was so excited to get to the car, I wanted to sing!!!
