After our longer than we thought drive, we finally made it to the area that we wanted to hike around. So we knew there was a chance of rain, but we were hoping it would wait till after we left... it decided it was going to rain anyway and it was pretty foggy too. It was alright though, it was still gorgeous!! To get to the lighthouse you had to take a shuttle out and then walk down like 300+ steps to the lighthouse. We were all hoping to see some whales. Earlier in the day they had spotted 20 at one time, so we new they were out there. It was a bit to foggy to see to far out. We did end up spotting one spout of a whale, but that was all we saw. Alec and I are planning on getting back up there soon in hopes to see more, plus it was so pretty it is a fun place to go.
On our way home we stopped in the little town right in the park. We were pretty hungry, but I think that everybody was also ready to get home and be done with the curvy roads. We jumped out to go to a market here, but got sucked into trying these Osters instead. Alec and Luke were the first to try them. As you can see by Alec's face he was a bit not sure, but he ended up liking them and went on to have quite a few more. I on the other hand was content with just eating my own choose of sea food... cheese fishes, but then I decided I might as well try them. As you can see by my face, I was not the biggest fan. The texture was too much for me; maybe if I could get over the texture, then I might like them.
We decided to take another way home because we were told it was less curvy. There were still some curves (definitely nothing like the other road though) and on one of our stops we went and took pictures by the river. It was so pretty!! I totally want to go camping here!!!
So that was our Saturday. We were totally worn out by the time we got home and decided to just chill and watch Eagle Eye.
