Little Red Riding Hood

Yesterday, Lesa and I did a 46 mile ride up in the Logan area. We were both not super excited about it the day before because we thought that it was going to be super stormy, but we ended up getting up there and it was pretty nice! We had only gone riding one day prior, but we thought we would try the 46 mile one and stop at 36 if we needed to.
Here we are at the beginning!

The scenery was beautiful!!! It was so green. We were loving it until we hit about 40 miles and then we started to really feel it. We had not stopped at any of the first 3 rest stops because we were feeling good. Then 40 miles came and we really started to feel it and we could not find our support team (aka Alec and Eric) and there was no rest stop to be found. My seat was a little low so my knees were really starting to hurt and ache. Finally we found our support team and grabbed some needed food and then we were off to finish the last few miles (which seemed like they took longer than the first 24:)).

Finally we made it to the finish line and boy were we happy to be done. I could hardly walk when I got off my bike.

We were so tired we just laid down on the grass for awhile.

It ended up being a fun day. We are planning our next one in about 2 weeks!

This is awesome Em! How long have you been road biking? My friend out here and I started training for a triathlon. Maybe someday when we're in Utah, we can all do one together.
