Thanksgiving in Jackson

For Thanksgiving we went up to Jackson and stayed in my parents condo. It was a great, but super fast trip. Alec and I headed up on Wed. The roads were not to bad, but I was glad that we had 4-wheel drive for Tincup.
On Thanksgiving we headed up for our "turkey trout"/hike. We decided to do the loop to Taggart Lake instead of our regular way. It was BEAUTIFUL!!!! The lake was pretty frozen over, but not enough that we would jump on it like last Christmas. One thing I was thankful for was that we did not see any moose (this was where we almost got trampled to death last winter!). The first picture is us being the only kind of moose we wanted to see on this hike. Here are a BUNCH of pictures from the hike.
After the hike we headed back to the condo for some yummy turkey dinner! It was so yummy and so fun to have the whole family there!!!!

On Friday we went and did some "black friday" shopping, but I have to say... there is little to be desired in the whole black friday shopping thing in Jackson Hole. I think everybody heads to the big city of Idaho Falls to do there shopping. It was a lot of fun though. We spent seriously 3 hours in Sports Authority. The people were trying to get us out of there. We created some road blocks for other people and I think we were a little loud so I think they were wondering when we were ever going to leave. They were wondering if we were all blood related because we had the same noses. Funny what people notice. We had a few great laughs were Mike and I thought my dad was the butt of the joke, but come to find out it was us being the total air heads.... Dad, we will get you sometime!!:)
After we went shopping we headed for another hike. This time we went to Cashe Creek near Snow King. We had mountain biked here in the summer so thought we should give it a try hiking. It was really pretty up there, but I had a head cold so hiking without a destination got pretty old fast.

Friday night is when the whole town gets together in town square for the lighting of the square and for Santa to make his apperance. It was really fun, but FREEZING cold. Thank goodness for the free cider and hot coco!

We were going to head home on Sunday, but due to the BYU vs. Utah game we left early on Sat to get to the game! GO BYU by the way!!! Before heading home, Alec and I grabbed some yummy french toast in Victor and then saw a good friend and then headed home to watch the game at my parents. GO COUGARS!!!!!!
