Five for Friday??? Really!

Well, I have decided to start trying to do the five for Friday again. I have noticed a pattern...... when I start working on putting my blog in a book for the previous year, I start realizing that I need it to be more of a journal with stuff we did the previous year. So there you are, here is attempt #2 at trying Five for Friday!

1. Pedi's with my mom. So this past week I turned the big 2.6. I know, I am getting so old! I actually was fighting this birthday. For some reason turning 26 was going past the being young days of 25 and younger. Oh well, it happens and I am 26 and thus far it has been just fine. So for my b.day, my mom took me to get a pedicure and grab some lunch on Friday. Ok, so normally we go and just get the regular pedi, but this time we went all out and go the deluxe, and boy was it just that!!! We were smiling, and laughing (because both of us have very ticklish feet) the whole time because we felt so spoiled! The hot wax was definitely our favorite. Your feet felt so soft afterwards! After that we then grabbed some lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. It was delicious!

2. Sunday Dinner! (there is going to be a common thread here... b.day stuff:)) We headed over to my parents on Sunday for my b.day dinner. My whole fam was there along with my grandma, it was a total blast. For some reason I had been craving french dip sandwiches, so that is what we had, and they were super duper yummy!!! The for desert, what kind of birthday would it be without....... carrot cake!! It was super yummy. I just barley realized the greatness of carrot cake, and I am so glad I did!

3. So my actual b.day was Monday, and one of the best things for my b.day was that my doctors fixed a few of my teeth for me. I have been stressing about getting a crown on a tooth I had a root canal on, and then I had a tooth that was bothering me. They were nice enough to help me with that, and so I don't have crazy dreams anymore about how my teeth are all breaking and falling apart!:(

4. When in Rome and Red lobster! So after getting my teeth fixed Alec and I went and saw When in Rome. Ok, it is totally dumb, but I liked it. Then we went and ate at Red lobster. I LOVE Red lobster. I always get the coconut shrimp and the King crab legs.... yummy! So if anyone needs etiquette training go to the Red lobster in Sugarhouse. Ok, so we get there and our waiter comes over and don't worry, he first informs us that we can order cocktails, but that coke products were also considered a cocktail and ok to order.... Right.... we just ordered water. Then we order and Alec was like would you mind bringing us some bread (it was 8 and we were both starving), the guy was like "yes I will with your salad, in that that is the proper time to bring bread" (in his snooty tone). We both looked at each other and realized the reason we went to Red lobster that night..... to learn manners and when bringing the bread is appropriate! We laughed pretty hard about that one!

5. Life Unexpected. I have a new favorite TV series. Life Unexpected. it is on the CW on Monday! It has the girl from Dan in Real Life ("your the murderer of love" one). It is really cute, everyone should watch it.

Well that is pretty much our week. Besides Alec having a head cold (which the coughing and the sneezing do not help the case of his back much), and I have a lousy cough that just won't go away, we have had a great week! Hope ya'all had a great week as well!

Emi! I tried to call you on your birthday, and I lost your number because I got a new phone since we talked last. Happy (late) Birthday! Call me, or text me your number when you can.
