30 Day Challenge....:)

Goal: Be an overall Healthier individual 


Ok, so I have been reading a lot about healthy eating lately.  I have been watching documentaries on it as well.  Call me crazy, but I really enjoy it.  I got this book called "The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth".  It is awesome!:)  It makes you want to eat healthy to get all the benefits that food can give you.  It is crazy how much food you can actually eat when you are choosing the right kinds of food.  
So confession #1: I am a sweet-aholic:)  I love sweets.  Alec teases me and says that I am bird because I am always like "treats, treats" (ya know like "tweets, tweets":)).  I really could live on sugar alone.... yes I know very unhealthy.  I don't need salt or grease, just sugar.... so there is my vice.  


Overall I feel like I am a pretty healthy individual, but there is definitely room for much improvement, so I have decided that I am going to put myself through a 30 day challenge and log it on this blog for accountability and see how I feel at the end.
So for the next 30 days so from (April 7th- May 5th) I will be......
1. Eating only foods out of the 150 Healthiest foods book (with few exceptions such as mozz cheese in my tomato, avocado and mozz salad, or a tortilla, and maybe the occasional tortilla chip with salsa.)  This shouldn't be that hard, dark chocolate is on the list....:)
2. Train for my half marathon in June.... so I am going to be running 4X/week.  
3. Blog daily to track it.... blahh:)


So there you have it.  For the next 30 days it is all about healthy eating in this house:).

This is so cool I have been reading, and watching documentaries on the same thing lately. And i agree, it is super interesting.

I started a diet a few days ago too that cutes out dairy, red meat, processed foods, and SUGAR (and if you have seen my blog you know that is going to be hard)! Its been great and I feel so much better.

I really want to read that book, it sounds really interesting.

Also I am running a half marathon in December. How funny!!
