So today was the first day of my personal 30 day Challenge:). It was great... except I really did crave some yummy bread today.
Breakfast: Smoothie: Kale (the superstar of all veggies, If you want to fight cancer... they say eat Kale. I guess it is just full of antioxidants), Mixed Fruit (just a bag I got from Costco of frozen fruit), Wheat Germ, Flax Seed, Whey Protein Powder, Oatmeal, Coconut Water
Snack: Apple (an apple a day keeps the Dr away... right... well I hope so) and 5 Almonds
Lunch: Smoothie: the same as the one for breakfast, I know real boring
Snack: Snow Peas and 5 Almonds
Got home from work and had the most delicious dark chocolate
So seriously this is the best.... and it is in my book because it is 60% cocoa or more... awesome! It is heavenly!
Dinner: Wild Alaskan Salmon, 1/2 Mango ( are you allergic to the skin of a Mango... well Alec is. Random. How the Dr figured this one out is crazy. Alec went in with a weird reaction on his lips and the first thing the Dr asked was " have you eaten a mango lately".... what the heck... so if you get a weird reaction when you eat mango's, just have someone else peel them and you should be good to go. Crazy), Edamamas
Ran: 3 miles We got home from work and went out into the freezing spring weather and ran. It was windy and cold (what is with 35 degree weather in April... blahh), but it felt so good once we were done.

Way to go Em! Keep up the good work. We make green smoothies, but I just can't get past spinach. Kale, swiss chard, etc. just make them not very drinkable for me. Looking forward to all your updates each day!
