Thankful for........

Instead of doing the normal five for Friday thing, since it was Thanksgiving this week, I thought I would post things I am thankful for instead (get ready for so sap:)).
1.  Alec, well obviously, but I am thankful that I am married to him:).  Alec is such a little boy in so many ways and I love it.  Yesterday we went to the North face outlet and you should have seen him.  He was in heaven.  We walk in and it is coats galore, he eyes lite up like it was Christmas morning.  The next time we saw him, he was wearing a red north face sweatshirt, and his "most favorite jacket ever".  We were in the store a good hour or longer and he did not take that thing off unless he was trying something else on, and then he would put the whole outfit back on and go and walk around more.  It was so funny.  I was just wishing that his favorite jacket was not the most expensive in the store:).  Their are so many reasons I am thankful for Alec, this is just one of them.
2. Family.  I am so thankful for family.  I have always felt that I got way to blessed with my family.  My family is awesome!  I love that I enjoy being around my family!  Not only do I love to be around my immediate family, I love to be around my extended family as well.  I thought everyone was like this but since I have gotten older I have realized that is not very normal at all. When I married Alec he could not believe that we would spend a whole week every year with our cousins:).  I thought this was funny because this was so normal to me, we had been doing it since I was a baby and it was something our family looked forward to more than Christmas itself. I am also thankful for the family I married into.  They are awesome!

3. The church.  I am so thankful that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  I have been thinking a lot about it lately and am so thankful for the teachings that we learn through the church.  I feel like with all the crazy stuff going on in the world, I am so thankful for this constant in my life.  The church is the same anywhere you going, weather that be in Prague, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, or Seattle, the teachings are the same.  It is awesome!!!!
4. Seasons.  Yep, I said it.... seasons.  Everyone here in California I am sure will think I am crazy when I say I MISS the 4 seasons!!  I love all 4 of them for different reasons, but I love them.  I love the winter for the snow and the crispness in the air.  I love spring because let me tell you, by the end of winter you are thinking 40 degrees is warm (20 degrees feels warm in Driggs Idaho:)).  I love the new flowers blooming.  I love summer because lets be honest, I love the heat!!!!  Bring on the 110 degrees!:)  And I love, love, love the fall.  By the end of summer you are ready for the jacket weather and it is time to whip out those sweaters.  I love all the changes that seasons bring!

5.  Weekends.... esp 4 day ones!!!  I love weekends!!  This past weekend has been awesome, I think that 4 day weekends should be standard!:)  It was so nice coming home from Thanksgiving and realizing that we still had three more days off!  Awesome!!!
