We are so blessed in the good ole' United States!!!

You realize how blessed we are here in the U.S. I could not believe the living conditions of these people. Even the rich in the D.R., lived worse than the poor here in the U.S. Here are a few of the pictures we took. This was the first day that we were here. We walked to church. It was pouring rain. It was awesome.
This is the construction here. While we were walking the people were yelling at us walk by. These buildings did not look sturdy in the least. I hope they are more so then they look. It was interesting driving around because a lot of the homes had beams coming up so when they wanted to add on or add a roof they could.
We went to the ward here. The members were so sweet. Even though we spoke two different languages, they were very welcoming. During sacrament meeting we heard a cow and looked out the window (no glass) and their was a cow outside. It was pretty fun!

This was right by the church. Their are pipes coming out from the homes into the rivers. This is their sewer pipes. While coming in we saw someone bathing in this same river.

When it rains the people will put all their garbage in the river to wash it down. Can you imagine? This is the water they bath in and I am sure they drink it as well. This was a very humbling experience to say the least!
