We are really gonna.........

...MISS CALIFORNIA!!!! We are getting pretty sad to leave. Every time I think about it I just get a little sad. We have really loved it here and have loved the people that we have met! We just feel it is time to move on! So I thought I would list 5 reasons we are sad to leave but also 5 reasons we are happy to go to Utah.
1)HOW GREEN IT IS/ AWESOME WEATHER/ JASMINE! We are really going to miss how green it is here. It is beautiful!!!! I love taking 280 because it is such a scenic freeway. There are such big tall trees everywhere. I love it. I remember the first time I ever came to this area with Alec before we were married I could not believe how green the hills were!!! We are also going to miss not shoveling snow. I have to say I LOVE the snow, but it is nice not to have to drive in it or get it off your cars. It is nice because the weather is usually pretty nice. We are for sure going to miss Jasmine. Alec's favorite flower by far. It smells like Hawaii.

2) MARSHA, FRIENDS, AND OUR AWESOME WARD. We have met some awesome people while being here and we are really going to miss them when we are gone. We have felt like they are our family away from home. We have been trying to talk all of them to move on out to Utah, but it has not really worked.... well not yet:):). We have loved being here and spending time with Marsha. We sure love her lots and are very thankful for all she does for us!!

3) BEACH/ YOSEMITE/ LAKE TAHOE (just to name a few). We have absolutely loved living so close to the beach and then you go 4 hours and you are in beautiful Tahoe or Yosemite. It really is an awesome place to be, no question!!!!

4) FOOD. Ok, I know this one is weird, but there are a few places we are REALLY going to miss. To name a few Taco's Mexico (we have been known to drive 30 minutes to grab this most delicious Taco, seriously hands down the best you can get!), Chucks donuts (we love our chucks, I will miss my yummy coconut donuts, but I am sure my heart won't:)), yummy steamed milk from Cafe Barone's (yep it is delicious), Su Hong (Alec's favorite food by far!). Those are just a few, there are sure some fun places to eat around here!

5) BEING SO CLOSE TO SF AND HAVING 3 BIG AIRPORTS SO CLOSE! It has been so fun to live close to the city. We have not taken advantage of it like I thought we would, but it is fun to go spend time up there. It has also been really nice to have the three different airports to choose from.
Well, these are just a few reasons why we are sad to leave Cali. I really am going to miss it here!!!

Now, here are the reasons we are EXCITED to go to Utah......
1)SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY. I have to say the biggest draw for us for Utah is to be close to our family. Alec has two siblings that live in Utah county and a mom on the way, and hopefully Eryn and family will soon follow, and all my family is there, for at least right now that is. We love hanging out with them, so we are excited to be there and be able to be more apart of our nieces and nephew lives! This picture below is taken in my parents back yard. This is what I think of when I think of a perfect summer night!!!

2)LAKES/BONFIRES/MOUNTAINS. I can't even tell you how excited I am to live close to the mountains again. I LOVE the mountains! We are excited to go up to the canyons with friends and family and have bonfires to. So the picture below is what I think of when I think of Lakes in Utah, just total fun. Here, it is hard to find a lake that you can actually get in, most are closed. So we are excited about that.

3) FOUR SEASONS! I LOVE the 4 seasons. I love the HOT HOT, but then I love it when it starts to cool down to. I do have to say I have began to really like the basic weather here in the Bay area, but I am excited to have the seasons back in full force!

4) LESS OBAMANITES (this one is courtesy of Alec). We are excited to not be surrounded by all Liberals. We know some awesome liberals, so don't get me wrong, but we do get pretty sick of all the Obama stickers and everything, yuck!

5)And last but not least.... LIVING EXPENSES. Well, I think this one is key. When we came to Utah for Easter, I think we realized stuff can actually be affordable. You kind of end up forgetting that when you live in one of the most if not the most expenses zip codes in the country.

Well, there you are. We are sad to see this part of our lives end, but we are excited for the next great journey we are going to have!!!
