So last weekend (April 9th) we took a quick trip to Baker OR for Mike and Dani's other wedding reception (blog to follow about our fun trip, I just have not gotten the pictures yet, since our camera was out of batteries).
This past weekend we decided last minute to head to Las Vegas with Eryn, Scott, and there girls. Earlier in the week we were talking about how much we are all so done with this wet and cold weather. We started talking about going somewhere warm to try and get some needed warm sun. So Friday, Eryn and Scott booked a room and we headed out early on Saturday morning. Scott used his Marriott points and got us an awesome room at the JW Marriott. It was amazing. It had two bathrooms and had a porch off it that went out to an open lawn area. The best part was the pool... incredible!:)
In one of the bathrooms, it had this awesome rainfall shower head.... I wish this was my bathroom at home:)
We arrived in Vegas at about 10:30 and headed straight to the pool where we hung out till we needed to go to our 4:00 Lion King show.
The pool was incredible and it was actually hot enough outside where you wanted to be swimming. 90 degrees felt like heaven compared to our 50 degree rain/snow weather we have been getting at home. We could have stayed here for a week.
Poor little Lyvi. She was so worn out from swimming and driving she just crashed.... she is so stinking cute!:)
So my awesome sister in law scored some free tickets to Lion King, so we decided to go see it. I have been wanting to see this forever! This is one of my ultimate favorite Disney movies. It was really good, it just was not "awing" like Les Miserable or others. It was still really good though, the costumes were awesome!
Before the show we grabbed the 8 dollar cup of frozen yogurt, it was expensive, but it sure did hit the spot!
Before heading out on Sunday we hit Trader Joe's and stocked up yet again. We then headed out for our 5 hour drive back to the cold spring weather... bummer!:) It was an awesome, most needed, warm quick weekend trip. Now on to Jackson this weekend, where it sounds like we will be back in full blown winter. Ah well, it will warm up here soon enough.

what a fun trip! You need to stop in SG next time you drive through!
Fun times! You're making me want to go to Vegas now... we keep getting snow out here... I want to read your healthiest foods books - and let me share with you a website I love. Maybe you've already ran across it, since you're throwing kale in your smoothies, but: greensmoothiegirl.com - love it!
Lyvi saw these pictures and started saying, "I want to move to Las Vegas!" That was a great trip. I so needed it.
