When I grow up I wanna be.......

So first things first...... I love my job.  Love, Love it.  I have flexibility, it pays well, and lets be honest I am sitting on my butt on Wed morning blogging about what I want to do when I grow up.  3 1/2 day work week is nothing to complain about, so thus I am not complaining, I just am thinking about all the things I could do.
So something really cool about my job is that I get to meet a ton of different people from all walks of life and with all different life paths.  It is really cool to talk to people about what they do.  I have heard about so many different kind of jobs since working as a hygienist.  I don't know how many times I have come home and told Alec of a new job I want after hearing about it that day.
Something I think is a total bummer is that we all go through high school even collage and don't really know everything that is out there.  I hope that when my kids are growing up I can encourage them to really explore what is out there... with that said, I really don't know how many kids have the maturity to really do it, or really know what they will enjoy.  Even those that know me extremely well are still shocked that I can do what I do, I am the biggest gagger you will meet, but yet I can clean people's nasty teeth.  So I don't think that I would have actually explored some of these jobs "I want to do when I grow up" back in high school due to it "being gross".

So when I grow up I wants to:

1. Be a Physician Assistant.  Ok, so this is my number one.  I am so intrigued by what PA's do.  I love that you don't have the liability that a Dr does, but you have a lot of responsibility.  I have been so intrigued by this one that I have been researching about what I need to do to get in school.  I was seriously considering it for awhile.  I feel like you have the chance to make a huge difference in people's life's.  I would love to work with an OB in either labor and delivery or work in a fertility clinic, or I would want to be a PA at the hospital and work with cancer patients.

2. Be a Nurse. So about a year or two ago Alec and I got a brochure in the mail to donate to Primary Children's Medical center.  I was hooked.  I wanted to be a nurse and be able to help these sick little kids who could use someone to make them smile when they are feeling down and sick.  I want to make a big difference that I think a good nurse does to these little kids.

3. Get my degree in Exercise Science.  I love learning about how the human body works.  I love learning about what is good to put in it and not and leaning about different physical activities.  I would love to be super knowledgeable in this arena.

So there are just a few of the things I would like to do when I grow up:).

Be a PA- then maybe we can work together when I get my NP :)
